In the spirit of contributing to the welfare of those in need, NUST Community Service Club (NCSC)  planned to conduct one of its signature events Cloth Donation Drive from 9th – 15th February 2022 and the donating spot was a church located in Christian colony, F-6, Islamabad. The sole aim of this event was to organize a drive to gather clothes from the people within the university and donate those clothes to the respective people who need them. The collection was majorly targeted at the students attending the university, but the faculty members were also welcomed to donate.

  • Collection: The cloth donation drive kicked off on the 9th of February 2022. A skit on the CDD was prepared and executed in C1. Collection points were set up at C1 and C2. These points were overseen by council members from 12 pm to 5 pm every day from the 9th to the 15th of February where people could walk up to them and donate clothes. Additional collection points were also designated inside the hostels where the collection would take place in the night. A collection point was also set up in the faculty block. Marketing included setting up posters and handing flyers on campus.
  • Sorting: Sorting took place in the fictional library above C1. Clothes from all the collection points were gathered here to be sorted. Sorting started on the 11th of February and continued till the 15th of February. The clothes were sorted into sweaters, jackets, socks, pants, etc. Men and women clothes were also put into separate piles.
  • Distribution: All the donations made were taken to be distributed to a church in the Christian Colony in F-6 on the 19th of February.
