NUST Alumni Association (NAA) in KSA helped organize a free medical camp in collaboration with Pakistan Doctors Group Riyadh (PDGR) and Pakistan Embassy Riyadh (PER). The medical camp received 100+ doctors, covering 24 specialties to provide free consultancy, tests, medicines, and referrals to 500+ patients.
The NAA KSA Chapter’s Endowment and Volunteer Committee members were available throughout the camp, supporting patients, doctors, and other volunteers in the organization and functioning of the event. The Technology and Customer Experience Committee led the efforts of developing free of cost software for Clinic Management System (CMS), which delivered a paperless digital solution for patient management and tracking. During the camp, the patients do move between multiple specialties, hence the CMS was perfected based on the experiences of similar camps in the past. I.T. support was also provided by alumni volunteers along with management/tracking of medicines in the pharmacy.
Impressed by the functioning of the first completely digital camp, the PDGR and H.E. Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Bilal Akbar HI (M), Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, presented a shield to the NAA KSA Chapter’s President and Vice President.
