UVAS celebrates World Rabies Day

World Rabies Day is the first and only global day of action and awareness dedicated to rabies prevention. It is an opportunity to make our community aware of this fatal but preventable disease. For this Vet Crescent Society of University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) has celebrated World Rabies Day on 29 September,2021. In this regard, Team VCS has organized a free Vaccination Camp, Awareness Campaign through social media and Awareness Walk to eradicate the myths about vaccination to ensure that everyone is protected and disease is eradicated.
Awareness walk was executed which started from Vice Chancellor’s office. Various veterinarians including Vice Chancellor, Dean and senior staff along with students took part in this walk. After that, a free vaccination camp against Rabies has been executed outside UVAS Pet Centre. Various dogs and cats has been vaccinated against this disease.
Selmore Pharmaceuticals and Amir Veterinary Hospital Lahore sponsored the event with free vaccination doses.
